Karen got her first guitar at age five. It was a kid's guitar with a picture of Roy Rogers on the front. She didn't know how to play it, but that didn’t stop her...she banged away at the out-of-tune strings for hours until someone finally gave her lessons and a better guitar.

Karen got her start as a performing artist playing club gigs with rock and R&B bands in San Diego during college. Later she took her act on the road in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Hawaii, the Mid-West and Pacific Northwest. Her songs, Amelia and All I Really Want have been aired on KWIP in Oregon and other radio stations and she has performed on Los Angeles-based Public Television.

Karen’s music—folk, rock, blues, roots, original songs about love and life delivered with a powerful and soulful voice and virtuoso acoustic/electric guitar playing. She has two CDs that are available First Impressions and Watch You Shine.
